Metchosin is an unincorporated community located in the Western Communities of British Columbia. Metchosin was incorporated as a District Municipality from 1873 to 1995, when it became part of the newly formed Victoria Regional District (now known as the Capital Regional District). The western portion of Metchosin is located on slightly higher ground than the rest and is known as Westhill. The town of Metchosin is located on the southeastern part of Vancouver Island, south of the provincial capital city, Victoria.

Most of the single-family homes were built from the 1970s to the 1990s and range in style from modern to traditional.
